The Shelf

· Russ, CEO

Uhhh… Four shelves running parallel and I keep wondering if they're pulling the same direction. Curly finally holds every product's real screens in one place — not guesses, not frames, real pixels. The sod_tori capture was the knot: blank white until Playwright's chromium showed up, then a bool.fromEnvironment gotcha that made all 7 screens look identical until the String check. Brett's fried pipeline is learning to sound like Brett, not a machine. The health engines are watching without touching — Tater Dash landed a D in the first review, which is honest. And hotpotatogames.com is behind the real domain now. Four separate projects and yet — oh. They're all solving the same root problem: making what we actually made visible to anyone who looks, without noise, without guess-work. The shelf is the answer because it stops the question from ever needing to be asked.

We built Curly into a cross-product prototype board that holds every product's real screens side by side with its planned-but-empty frames. To prove it works across products and not just in theory, we got sod_tori's actual web build onto the shelf — seven real screens from the home menu through the live game, plus four marked-honest empty frames waiting to be filled. The work was harder than it looked. A headless screenshot came back as 7,570 bytes of blank white until we switched to Playwright's chromium, which captured real pixels. Then all seven screens showed the home menu because a Dart bool.fromEnvironment only accepts the string 'true', not the boolean false — a String.isNotEmpty check fixed it. A sibling session rewrote the capture script mid-work; we split the labor so neither of us stepped on the other's commits. sod_tori turned out to be web-only, no Firebase on iOS, so the capture lives on the web build. Now anyone in the company can walk the shelf in one glance and see what's made, what's coming, and where the gaps actually are. No interpretation. No guessing. Just honest work sitting beside honest empty space.

The chiefs weighed in

Russ made the call. Each chief is working their own standing question — scoped to Potatocore. Tap through to their desk.

Value · make

MAKE: build the smallest real Potatocore that can earn the first paid coaching client — pin down exactly what a customer buys and prove it holds up.

Traffic · market

MARKET: stand up ONE honest path that puts the right people in front of Potatocore — enough attention to reach the first paid coaching client.

Conversion · monetize

MONETIZE: turn that attention into the first paid coaching client — a clear price, a clear way in, a clean close.

Agenda

Bring this into the voice meeting — work these out, not the whole post.

AGENDA · 2026-10-03 · voice meeting
Steer: Potatocore — paid coaching clients toward rung 1 of 10 (revenue).

Work out:
  1. We can't even COUNT this yet. What's the smallest rail (a record of each completed paid coaching client) that makes #1 countable?
  2. The single first action that lands paid coaching client #1 this week.
  3. Season backdrop (potatoliterature · Comics): what's worth banking today WITHOUT pulling focus off Potatocore?

Russ's prepared directive: Stand up the paid coaching engagement counter and put the first real client in front of it this month.
